diet @ dieting??

What is dieting?

Dieting is the practice of ingesting food in a regulated fashion to achieve or maintain a controlled weight. In most cases the goal is weight loss in those who are overweight or obese, but some athletes aspire to gain weight (usually in the form of muscle) and diets can also be used to maintain a stable body weight.

What is diet?
In nutrition, the diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism.

Other than that....
Dietary habits are the habitual decisions an individual or culture makes when choosing what foods to eat. Although humans are omnivores, each culture holds some food preferences and some food taboos. Individual dietary choices may be more or less healthy. Proper nutrition requires the proper ingestion and equally important, the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and fuel in the form of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Dietary habits and choices play a significant role in health and mortality, and can also define cultures and play a role in religion.

However, there are many people who used the wrong "word" to mention what they actually want. For example, If they want to loose weight, they will simply say "I want to diet".. It is totally wrong.. We should say like this, " I want to get dieting" or others. There are the differences between verb and noun.
Besides that, we have to know that "dieting" doesn't means that we do not eat, but we control our eating as the definitions given above..

FiNAL aGAiN!!!!!!

those books are waiting.............for me.....

think...........???

I don't know how, but I really think that the time passes really fasT! I feel that I was registered here yesterday..But I'm already in the second term, and it's only about two weeks left to final...Study..study and study.. That's all that I have to do now..
Actually, I really want to get a Dean's List..I failed to get it in my first semester and I want to get it for this semester.. but it's seem that I couldn't.. I'm not giving up myself, but our subjects for this semester are significantly tougher than last term.
However, I am still trying my best, and I hope that I can get the best result ever..I CAN DO IT!!!!

When the examination is around the corner, students become busier and busier..Lastly it will become the busiest moment in the whole term! That's common.. So, we have to realize that studying in the last minute is not good at all... It'll make us busy and we'll become stress..

I LOVE MY MOTHER EARTH!!!

urmm...earth hour?? Is anybody know what is 'earth hour'??
VOTE EARTH
YOUR LIGHT SWITCH IS YOUR VOTE

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.

Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm..Lets join it everybody!!!

Water Ohh Water...

In a month, there must be at least one water sources problem. In UMP, we have been facing this problem quite often. It is okay if there are no water during holiday, but if it is on weekdays, it is really worse. All of students must be in trouble because they do not have enough time to seek for water for bath and to drink. It's getting worse when there no food at cafeteria because there are no water for them to cook. This problem occur caused by the position of our university. Why?? Our university is located in the end of the town. So, there must be a lot of problems especially during drought. So, as a student, we should try our best to save water to avoid the incident from happen again and again.

POLITICIANS vs BUSINESSMEN

I do have some broader comments on the general subject of politics and business.

I do not know many successful businessmen, and successful politicians. In my experience, businessmen generally think that they are smarter and tougher than politicians. "Smarter" goes without saying, "tougher" means that they interpret politicians' equivocations and changes of position as weakness. I think the businessmen are wrong on both counts. Successful politicians, on the average, are both "smarter," i.e. abler, and tougher than successful businessmen.

However, I'm not gonna give my opinion on their smartness. All I want to talk about is, who is more important?
Businessmen or politicians? It is up to people themselves to choose and think about it. We have to think what is more important in order to ensure the brightness in our future. Basically, some people will said that our country needs more politicians and not by the others. For me, and my own opinion, businessman is more important than politicians. I didn't say that the politicians are not important at all.

Nowadays, as we all know, our country faces many problems related to politics. In addition, it becomes worser day by day. Why is it happened? Who should be blamed? When will all of these problem solved??? The answer is in our hand. We, as the young generation have the big responsibility to overcome these problem for our future.......peace....
