sleep for baby??

Sleep or lack of it is probably the most-discussed aspect of baby care. New parents discover its vital importance those first few weeks and months. The quality and quantity of an infant's sleep affects the well-being of everyone in the household .it's the difference between being cheerful, alert parents and members of the walking dead.

How Much Is Enough?

It all depends on your child's age. Charts that list the hours of sleep likely to be required by an infant or a 2-year-old may cause concern when individual differences aren't considered. These numbers are simply averages reported for large groups of children of particular ages.

There's no magical number of hours required by all kids in a certain age group. Two-year-old Sarah might sleep from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, whereas 2-year-old Johnny is just as alert the next day after sleeping from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Still, sleep is very important to a child's well-being. The link between a child's lack of sleep and his or her behavior isn't always obvious. When adults are tired, they can either be grumpy or have low energy, but kids can become hyper, disagreeable, and have extremes in behavior.

Most kids' sleep requirements fall within a predictable range of hours based on their age, but each child is a unique individual with distinct sleep needs. Here are some approximate numbers based on age, accompanied by age-appropriate pro-sleep tactics.

From the article,we can conclude that baby should have enough sleep especially for the very young kids and the time is not specified. The effects if baby which lack of sleep is more dangerous compared to adults. So, as a parent, you should make sure that your baby got enough sleep....

Healthy strategies to maximize your rest……

  1. Prioritize what's most important to you and your family for the holidays - do what's most important, skip the rest, and don't feel guilty (this is also useful during the rest of the year)
  2. Share the load by recruiting family members to pitch in more during the holidays (and get them in the habit for the rest of the year)
  3. Give to others in ways that boost your spirits
  4. Nap, if possible, if you're feeling tired or run down, even if only for 10 minutes
  5. Eat healthy (balanced diet, lots of fruits and veggies), and avoid calorie-laden fast-foods
  6. Drink water throughout the day, but minimize during the last few hours before bedtime
  7. Minimize caffeine, and avoid it during the late afternoon and evening
  8. Avoid sweets just before bedtime, to eliminate a sugar high
  9. Exercise during the day to ensure your body is tired at bedtime, even if it's just taking a distant parking place and walking
  10. Create bedtime routines - stick to a consistent bedtime, taking into account your body's rhythms. Have a bedtime ritual (brush teeth, remove makeup, apply night creams). Gently unwind by reading or listening to music for 30 minutes before going to bed, bringing the lights down gradually as you do so. I fall asleep to a relaxing CD, tuning out hotel noise when on the road
  11. Check your bedding to be sure you have a comfortable mattress and pillows, and the right covers to neither get too hot nor too cold.

In my opinion, all of the steps above are very useful to make sure that we always get enough rest in our daily life.

If we do not have enough rest, we will not able to complete our work in the minimum time and we will always tired to do work. And always remember, even sleep is important, make sure that we did not overslept!! huhu

Love trees!!!

Healthy trees are an asset. They provide cooling shade, habitat for birds, and can increase the value of your property.

There are some very good things you can do to promote healthy, long-lived trees. And there are a number of things you will want to avoid.

Firstly, we cannot top the trees. Topping or stubbing are examples of removing large branches from mature trees. A topped tree is a disfigured tree and although it was intended to help the tree, the opposite is the result.

Besides that, we also have to make sure that trees do not have any inflicted wound. This wound can cause holes at the tree and it may be the effect of climbing the trees. Hence, do not let kids climb trees!

Trees are very important in our life. Without trees, we they are no food produce and the amount of carbon dioxide in atmosphere will become larger and it is very dangerous for us. It is because it can cause the global warming of the earth become worst.

To take care of trees, those trees should be pruned. Pruning is needed to remove dead, diseased, injured, broken, rubbing and crowded limbs. We also have to fertilize and water those trees continuously. So, let’s save the world! Dear friends, before we save the world, we have to love trees!!

Leadership communication skills

Leader is the head of an organization, groups and others. To be a good leader, we should

1. Leaders, need to be very clear about what they expect from others.
2. In being a good leader, we should trust ourselves.

It will make us confident to do something.
3. Keep smiling .
Keep smiling even there are problems. Do not make ourselves stress over the problem.
4. Share & stay together.
A leader shouldn’t be selfish. He or she cannot only give command or instructions to the members. It is very bad ethics.
5. Always learn new things .
Learn new things and then we can share it together.
6. Accept responsibility for your self & your actions.
When we prefer to be leader, that means that we already agree to accept all of the responsibility given.
7. Look at problems & challenges.
We cannot just be a leader by the name. We must improve ourselves by studying about the problems and challenges and try to face them.
8. Be grateful always.
Do not be greedy.
9. Love your self.
Finally love yourself and also all the members.

Hence, do not be scared to be a leader. Leadership gives us experience and also knowledge.

how to manage stress???

There are some steps in managing stress. Stress can make us weak. So if you get stress, you can try this steps.

-Avoid unnecessary stress
Learn how to say “no” – Know your limits and stick to them.
Avoid people who stress you out – If someone consistently causes stress in your life and you can’t turn the relationship around, limit the amount of time you spend with that person or end the relationship entirely.
Take control of your environment – If the evening news makes you anxious, turn the TV off. If traffic’s got you tense, take a longer but less-traveled route.
Avoid hot-button topics – If you get upset over religion or politics, cross them off your conversation list. If you repeatedly argue about the same subject with the same people, stop bringing it up or excuse yourself when it’s the topic of discussion.
-Alter the situation
Express your feelings instead of bottling them up. If something or someone is bothering you, communicate your concerns in an open and respectful way.
Be willing to compromise. When you ask someone to change their behavior, be willing to do the same. If you both are willing to bend at least a little, you’ll have a good chance of finding a happy middle ground.
Be more assertive. Don’t take a backseat in your own life.
Manage your time better. Poor time management can cause a lot of stress.
-Accept the things you can’t change
Don’t try to control the uncontrollable. Rather than stressing out over them, focus on the things you can control such as the way you choose to react to problems.
Look for the upside.
Share your feelings. Talk to a trusted friend or make an appointment with a therapist.
Learn to forgive. Accept the fact that we live in an imperfect world and that people make mistakes.
-Adapt to the stressor
Reframe problems. Try to view stressful situations from a more positive perspective.
Look at the big picture. Take perspective of the stressful situation. Ask yourself how important it will be in the long run.
Adjust your standards. Stop setting yourself up for failure by demanding perfection. Set reasonable standards for yourself and others, and learn to be okay with “good enough.”
Focus on the positive. When stress is getting you down, take a moment to reflect on all the things you appreciate in your life, including your own positive qualities and gifts..

think by ourselves..daa

what' Now???

interpersonal skills.........
1.Smile.
Few people want to be around someone who is always down in the dumps. Maintain a positive, cheerful attitude about work and about life. Smile often. The positive energy you radiate will draw others to you
2.Be appreciative.
Find one positive thing about everyone you work with and let them hear it. Be generous with praise and kind words of encouragement. If you let others know that they are appreciated, they’ll want to give you their best.
3.Pay attention to others.
Observe what’s going on in other people’s lives. Make eye contact and address people by their first names. Ask others for their opinions.
4.Practice active listening.
To actively listen is to demonstrate that you intend to hear and understand another’s point of view. It means restating, in your own words, what the other person has said. In this way, you know that you understood their meaning and they know that your responses are more than lip service.
5.Bring people together.
Create an environment that encourages others to work together. Treat everyone equally, and don't play favorites. Avoid talking about others behind their backs. Follow up on other people's suggestions or requests.
6.Resolve conflicts.
Take a step beyond simply bringing people together, and become someone who resolves conflicts when they arise. Learn how to be an effective mediator
7.Communicate clearly.
Pay close attention to both what you say and how you say it. A clear and effective communicator avoids misunderstandings with coworkers, collegues, and associates.
8.Humor them.
Don’t be afraid to be funny or clever. Most people are drawn to a person that can make them laugh. Use your sense of humor as an effective tool to lower barriers and gain people’s affection.
9.See it from their side.
Empathy means being able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and understand how they feel. Try to view situations and responses from another person’s perspective.
10.Don't complain.
There is nothing worse than a chronic complainer or whiner. If you simply have to vent about something, save it for your diary. If you must verbalize your grievances, vent to your personal friends and family, and keep it short. Spare those around you, or else you’ll get a bad reputation.

teamwork

What is teamwork? Do you really know what the teamwork is??

We usually hear about teamwork in what ever we do in group right? Assignments, doing welfare works and many more. A general dictionary defines teamwork as a "Cooperative or coordinated effort on the part of a group of persons acting together as a team or in the interests of a common cause, unison for a higher cause, people working together for a selfless purpose, and so on."
People of either gender, boys or girls, different age groups, qualification, status and skills work as a team with a common objective of accomplishing the task. This is the process which about sharing the idea, imformation and to help each other in getting the best final result ever.
The success of any organization largely depends on in the coordinated efforts of its employees. It mainly refers to the agreeableness & co-operation among the team members.
It means that teamwork is very important to make sure that we get the maximum results or effects.

In presentation especially, stop occasionally to ask the audience understand what you have said

Hence, let us practice to become a successful engineer.

teaching secrets

I just want to share with all of you about the article that I read. In teaching kids, we should have some skills to make them interested in what are we going to teach.
The examples are
1)“Tell your stories about when you were our age.”
when teachers share their own middle school stories including some of their blunders or embarrassing moments,it makes them more human.
2) “Teachers underestimate what kids can do, and what they know.”
Teachers assume kids can’t tell if a teacher is unprepared for class. But of course they can. Students also appreciate good teaching, exciting lessons, test review games, and activities.
3)“We love to see our work hung up on the board.” kids said that how much it meant to come into a classroom and see their diligent efforts and those of their classmates prominently displayed. It meant the teacher was proud of them and willing to take the time to show off their hard work. So, the children become more interested in learning and come to class.
4)“Read aloud to us. You’re never too old to be read aloud to.” Simply put, it strengthens the bond between teacher and students. It’s a gift from the teacher that students recognize.

5)“Get us out from behind our desks.” Kids this age need to move around, and they love it when you’ve taken the time to plan opportunities for movement into your lessons. They need to get physical. It keeps them learning.

•6)“You have to want to be around people, otherwise you make us miserable.” The kids know whether you’re a “people person” and enjoy the company of kids. And sadly, they know if you aren’t.

The next time you enter your empty classroom, sit in a student’s seat for awhile and think back to your own middle school days, when you too were an eager but uncertain adolescent learner. It’s a whole different world out there, on the other side of the teacher’s desk. it is fun right??

Of course we can try those secrets to teach our kids, in future.....

CLEANLINESS VS GODLINESS

Cleanliness is the absence of dirt, including dust, stains, bad smells and garbage. Purposes of cleanliness include health, beauty, absence of offensive odor, avoidance of shame, and to avoid the spreading of dirt and contaminants to oneself and others.Cleanliness is undoubtedly a virtue and is to be encouraged. Cleanliness is traditionally associated with good health, tidiness, and purity. However, to place Cleanliness next to Godliness is surely a bit perverse? In comparison with various other noble virtues, for example truth, generosity, courage, honesty, loyalty, wisdom, ingenuity, kindness ? Cleanliness, although good, is surely not that good!
The expression "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" also raises the question of what GODLINESS is. Presumably it is the situation of being Godley. Regardless of whether this is with Cream or not, it must mean "like (a) God". When someone quotes an aphorism to you and it sounds wise, don't just accept it! Question it!

Fasting

For a long time I did not update my blog. but it is okay. now I want to share with all of you about fasting. We are in the month or Ramadhan. For muslims, we have to fast everyday as we can. Muslims are prohibited from eating, drinking, smoking, and engaging in sexual intercourse from dawn(fajr) to sunset (maghrib). Fasting is essentially an attempt to seek nearness to Allah and increase one's piety. Fasting is also viewed as a means of controlling one's desires (of hunger, thirst, sexuality, anger) and focusing more on devoting oneself to God. There are several advantages of fasting. Fasting is very good for our health. besides that, Muslims can feel and experience that which needy and hungry humans feel while we are not eating for the whole day until dawn. This Ramadhan also give us chance to share meal and being kind to our neighbours. It is very exciting to change meals and breakfast together. It gaves us more reward than breakfast alone. Nevertheless, not many people who still doing that untill now. People become more and more busy with works, and anything else untill there are many people that breakfast in car, which is breakfasting unproperly. So, why don't we just change our mind and enjoy this month with the maximum "ibadat" as we can since we still have the time!!

People abuse drugs for several reasons..

First of all, it is because they want to get high. That is the common reason. Do you know what it is? I’m so sorry guys, I really want to share with you but I can’t….because….i also don’t know! Huhu..but don’t worry..i can share with you a little bit. The desire to get high may be to heal disease such as depression. Many people are not strong enough to face the pressures in coping with schools, works and others. We also can be stress as a student of university. We have a lot of assignments to do in a very short time.

The other reason for people who is abusing drugs is to enhance muscles mass, or to improve the ability of the athlete. It is a problem worldwide now. They should know the effects of taking drugs. Emmm..however this problem never been settled until now…..

Besides that, people also use drugs to make them more powerful and make them strong even they are in pain and in injuries.

What is energy??

Emmm....what is energy..it is not a common topic right? Not all of us can explain the real meaning of energy completely. Actually, energy is the fuel of life. It keeps plants grow, the animals alive including us. It is too general and the real definition of energy is the ability of a physical system to do work, whether than be growing, lifting, moving or sustaining life.
Nowadays human use many kinds of energy. According to biological level, we get energy by eating foods. Where the food came from? They came from plants and animal right? Besides that we have to remind ourselves that energy also produce from the warmth of the sun. But in this millennium era, we have also discovered more and more ways of exploiting energy such as electric motors. These range from wood fires, which create light and heat from the chemical energy stored in plants, to gas power station which electricity from the heat created by burning natural gases.Hence, as the future engineer, we should explore more and think out of the box, how to create more and more effective energy generator...InsyaAllah..

But I have to try this way if I’ve got a cold after this..hehe..it is very important to us to know how to get better fast. We can try this food to heal the flu that we got such as orange juice because the vitamin c in the orange may shorten the duration of our cold and help us to get back on our feet. Besides that we also can try to eat oatmeals, bananas, fish and chickens to maintain the organs that make infection fighting white blood cells. CALCIUM IN OUR FOOD

Everyone requires calcium. Calcium is essential for the growth and repair of bones throughout life. Bones mass generally peaks by age 30 to 35. Thereafter, one begins to lose more mass than the body can replace. The reduction of bone mass can progress gradually and painlessly and most people do not know they have osteoporosis until the bone break. This is why osteoporosis is also known as “ The Silent Disease”. Women are more prone to osteoporosis after menopause.
Calcium-rich foods include broccoli, non-fat and low-fat dairy products, nuts, seaweed and seeds. While milk is a good source of calcium, many people are lactose intolerant. Their bodies are unable to digest necessary amounts of lactose, the predominant sugar in milk.
It is not easy to obtain the daily requirement of calcium, and even more difficult for people with lactose intolerance as they cannot consume milk. In cases where the amount of calcium from food is not possible or practical, it is recommended to take a calcium supplement. So my dear friends, we have to remember that calcium is very important to health! lets together make our life longer....huhu

engineering...

Engineering is the discipline and profession of applying scientific knowledge and utilizing natural laws and physical resources in order to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that realize a desired objective and meet specified criteria. The American Engineers’ Council for Professional Development (ECPD, the predecessor of ABET) has defined engineering as follows:
“The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.
One who practices engineering is called an engineer, and those licensed to do so may have more formal designations such as Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or Incorporated Engineer. The broad discipline of engineering encompasses a range of more specialized subdisciplines, each with a more specific emphasis on certain fields of application

environment..

The natural environment, commonly referred to simply as the environment, is a terminology that comprises all living and non-living things that occur naturally on Earth or some region there of. This term includes a few key components:
Complete ecological units that function as natural systems without massive human intervention, including all vegetation animals, microorganisms, rocks, atmosphere and natural phenomena that occur within their boundaries.
Universal natural resources and physical phenomena that lack clear-cut boundaries, such as air, water, and climate, as well as energy, radiation, electric charge, and magnetism, not originating from human activity.
The natural environment is contrasted with the built environment, which comprises the areas and components that are strongly influenced by man. A geographical area is regarded as a natural environment (with an indefinite article), if the human impact on it is kept under a certain limited level .This level depends on the specific context, and changes in different areas and contexts. The term wilderness, on the other hand, refers to areas without human intervention.
People nowadays always think lightly about the environment. Some of us do not know about the importance of loving and caring about the environment. We need trees to produce oxygen. We need clean water to drink and we need fresh air to breath. Hence, we have to be more responsible to take care about our surroundings….
